Terms of Service

Sign by Kodar lets businesses send documents for qualified electronic signature via Smart-ID and Mobile-ID and receive sealed ASiC-E containers. Qualified certificates and the act of signing are provided by SK ID Solutions AS and the underlying trust services; we build the workflow around them.

You must provide accurate registration details, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity in your workspace. You must be authorised to bind the organisation you register on behalf of. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.

You may not use the platform to upload unlawful content, to request signatures under false pretences, to impersonate others, to probe or disrupt the service, or to exceed the limits of your plan by technical means. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process the personal data of the signers you invite.

Signatures created through Smart-ID and Mobile-ID are qualified electronic signatures under eIDAS, which Article 25(2) gives the legal effect equivalent to a handwritten signature. Whether any particular agreement is valid and enforceable depends on its content, the parties' capacity and consent, and applicable law — matters outside our control. We provide the signing mechanism, not legal advice on your agreements.

Paid plans are billed per period through our payment provider. Allowances and features are those shown on the pricing page for your plan. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice; changes do not affect the period already paid for.

We work to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance and factors outside our control (including third-party trust services) may affect availability.

The platform, its software, and branding are owned by Kodar OÜ. Your documents and the signed containers remain yours; we process them only to provide the service.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the service at any time. On termination you can export or download your signed containers subject to your plan; we may then delete platform data in line with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Estonia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.
